Argh. I'm okay with Makorra, but I would have been okay if he stayed with Asami and Korra fall for Bolin. Urgh, but deep down I knew they were going to be put together. And you know what, I would have been fine with that if I saw more development between Mako and Korra, I didn't even know Korra liked Mako until after Mako started dating Asami. When episode 2 ended and Korra and Mako were looking out their windows, it was obvious Mako was thinking about her, but when Korra was looking out, she looked excited about the Pro-Bending Arena, not Mako. Thaaats why I was a bit dumbfounded when all of a sudden she wasn't liking Masami. I mean, they had to rush everything because of the time frame, but that's why I like Borra better, it's the interaction I saw.
